an incredible sequence. too subtle for its time. the song itself is wonderful ,full of energy. it is matched by the passion the woman ,who evidently was in love and not in a saintly mood. the rain has a sexual meaning. her feminine bounty which is display under the wet sari , is erotic to say the least. it is a rare occasion where a woman is singing alone in night in a big city, in the backdrop of a slum.
