Tutorial on how to open Logic Pro (8.0.2) inside Lion OSX (10.7) which is technically not possible.

Sorry about bad quality, use my MBP to record the screen as I have no screen capture software.

........Step-by-Step........

Find your Logic Pro app and ctrl click (or right click on it)

Then click 'show package contents'

Then in the resulting folder, double click on 'contents'

Then double click on 'Mac OS'

Finally double click on the file named 'Logic Pro'.

Thankyou.

  • thanks man! do you reckon this will work for logic 9.0.0 too?

  • @BuzzCTF Hi, for the past 2 or 3 months you can now open logic through the app as normal now... think they just realized people wernt happy. I would update to the latest logic 9 software see if that works.

  • HELP - I get a Bus error: 10. Any suggestions?

  • @MrMajor7 You dont need to do this process anymore ... just open as normal from the dock or file.... make sure your on lion update

  • Pro TIP: Drag The Logic Pro Terminal app to your dock

  • ANOTHER WAY TO DO IT.

I ran logic 8 studio on a macbook pro running osx 10.5, i then bought a new macmini with osx 10.7 lion

If you go to application on your 10.5 mac and compress the app file then transfer it to your new 10.7 mac (using sharing or a usb etc) then unzip and load the app. You have to re-enter your serial etc but it worked perfectly for me!

I don't havent tested this on any other mac but i hope it works for you!

  • I'm able to open it this way on Lion, but I've installed plugins that aren't showing in logic. I've done some research and it appears that I have to open Logic in 32-bit, then switch back to 64 bit. How can I open logic in 32-bit in this way?

  • THANKSSSSSSSSSSSS SO MUCHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE GREAT!!!

  • My hero... (swoon)
