  • I don't know why they show a macintosh as non of the mac Software works with it, In Final cut pro it has to be converted from MPEG4 to another format and will not work in iMovie, having said that it is a fantastic camera.

  • @WiAmp Oh, you mean for example as a surveillance mode, where you don't really need the display. Someone said you could simply close the display facing outwards and it would continue filming. If so, is there a way to just power off the display? Have you tried it?

  • @pjdaprinz - Reduced power consumption and extended runtime per battery ,

smaller form factor , easier to hide if neccessary.

Its a nice feature but the fact that this is not customizable but forced makes it to a disadvantage in my oppinion.

  • @WiAmp What do you mean with forced standby mode?

Isn't it supposed to go standby when you close the the display?

What would be the advantages if it wouldn't go standby?

  • It's a good camera, but the digital stabilisator is shit.

  • @infusionlabs nah you dont get it!

This is such a nice small camera.

Check my channel, i am doing party videos.

This WOULD be the ideal camera to put in

the weirdest positions for example in front of the Pioneer mixer , facing upward to the dj.

My biggest complaint is that this feature is not disablable. It is forced.

    What a shit !

  • Hi Wiamp

You can close the display and keep recording if the display is facing out.

I just bought it last night here in Bangkok.

  • than contact sanyo...

  • The Problem is that this "feature" is not disablable , what if i do not want this ??

  • dude whats your problem?

thats not annoying when you close the monitor the camera is on standby and it turns on faster
