@Applemask Oh man. Looks like this is the end of Channel at least having something. I think the way they do it in Japan of just having random local TV channels that are channels in their own right rather than being part of a big network would be good. Then again I don't know if they're going when analogue turns off or whether they're bothering to make them digital.

@Applemask I'm sure I've mentioned this before either on a forum or on one of your videos but I work with somebody who used to work at Channel and he says his greatest achievement in broadcasting is that he was once a puppet on Puffin's Pla(i)ce. For one show.

Did you know that Channel did take its ITV network feed from Westward, then TSW before this was changed to TVS and Meridian later on?

LOL. So if idents use rich colours, cutting edge (at the time) computer technology, and spacey futuristic music, it's americanized. However, look at today's UK idents: point the camera at a tree and paste on the channel's logo in a corner of the screen, and that's a good old British ident, eh? Give me UK 80s/early 1990s idents ANY DAY. Even over todays TV shows!!!

Some sad news to report Applemask. ITV plc has bought Channel Television today for about £10m.
