@TheRalphus666 You have to remember those weapons were not "that old" in the late 60s and they were very plentiful with lots of ammo. I was there 67-70 and by the early part of 68 most of the ARVN had the new stuff. In fact, they had newer m16s than we Marines had. The PFs and RFs had the old stuff mostly but it did a good job unless it was thrown away which they did on occasion.
