This song was written by a religious cook who can't understand the utter lack for evidence to prove there is a god. The burden is on believers to prove that there is a god, not on atheists or scientists to prove that there isn't one. The one who makes the outlandish claim has to be the one to prove it. If I say: "I can fly without wings or machinery." Then I have to show you I can to prove it. You by contrast, don't have to do anything to disprove me, as I am the one that made the claim.

One last thing: Sagan attempted to handle the issue of faith delicately. Those like Dawkins and Hitchens are a bit on the abrasive side so I can understand wanting to lash back at them. You'd still be defending an ancient religion created by men that is ignorant and contains internal inconsistencies, ultimately leading to you looking like a jackass, but I understand. In general I attempt to be amicable with the religious and respond with a "Sagan-esque" quality that involves delicately handling their faith, and showing their errors and inconsistencies in an intelligent manner. However, this stupidity cannot be tolerated, everyone knew of Sagan's greatness, even christians, which is quite evident in your much deserved 1 star rating.
