@abellaarthur - rarely if ever will an astrologer agree to any testing. If you read any previous studies it has never gone well from them as the testing reveals results no better than chance - then the adherents claim the testing wasn't done by a "real" astrologer, or astrology can't be tested scientifically as it lies outside the bounds of science, or the test is doomed to fail because the stars weren't aligned during the testing or some other hogwash reason.

@abellaarthur - sorry but astrology is not a science and the vast majority of astrology believers who post to these videos say so. Astrology meets none of the criteria to be called a science. It may use tables, charts, maths etc but uses no scientific method, publishes no scientific papers, has no (scientific) theory and has never been able to demonstrate that which it claims.

@abellaarthur - astrology cannot predict, otherwise it would be demonstrated. The get out of jail card of free will is a way to say misses don't count.

Since I'm a western astrologer, I say he's a Sag, unless he's on the cusp of Sag/Scorpio or Sag/Capricorn. I also believe in the law of proximity so there will be 'overflow' traits between signs that are next to each other. It's all good.

While scientifically true, this old news has no relevance to western astrology. However, Vedic astrologers DO follow what Bill is referring to so Bill would be a Scorpio in Vedic astrology. ;-) Gasp, there's more than one type of astrology like there is more than one type of science? Yes folks, that's the truth and your knowledge is limited but if you feel like expanding it -- learn astrology for yourself. However, only the strongest of mental minds can do it well. ;P Are you up for it?

@LiamXaoh A better test would be to have a live astrologer work from one chart and read that chart for ten different people. When I have been wrong, my clients have been quick to be honest with me about it. Why was I wrong? I accidentally pulled the 'wrong' chart with wrong birthdate!! There will be similarities at times, because the majority of human beings share similar things like emotions, red blood, a desire for a living space, etc.. but there will be marked differences too.

@LiamXaoh Astrology is currently an art and a science, like psychology. It's as much interpretative as it is scientific. During the scientific revolution, the interpretative and social aspects (astrology) were removed from astronomy because they were too 'messy' and not easily 'quantifiable". However, up until that time both were studied as a 'whole'.

@LiamXaoh What science can't neatly wrap up into a predictable package, it rejects. That's far too limiting, especially since human beings can be quite unpredictable or act out-of-character at times. Nonetheless, astrology 'can' accurately predict but the freewill of human nature can alter the who, what, where, when, why, and how.
