Wow, I'm amused at how wrong this clip gets it. The comic nerds they interviewed are conflating the Captain America as Symbol and Captain America as Man arguments. Anybody who has read some of the more recent Captain America story arcs know the character was struggling very much with his position as a symbol, which means he ISN'T a symbol anymore. This is mainly the reason I've fallen in love with Cap all over again - he knows he's a fossil and it hurts him sometimes. Comics kill chars often.
I just love how the one girl that works in a comic book store was so wrong as to why they were killing him off. Saying an inane comment that Captain America "... lost touch with the modern world". The man was timeless and moved along with the times. He knew how to use computers and technology because he was there when each particular technology came into being and use. She obviously hadn't read the comic for very long to make such a lame comment.
