Turina (1882-1949) wrote quite a few piano pieces that are in effect musical postcards of Spain, and that certainly applies to the two sets of 'Mujeres españolas' (Women of Spain) and the later 'Mujeres de Sevilla'. This piece comes from the second set of 'Mujeres españolas', which was published in 1933, 16 years after the first set.

  • Thank you! I will have a look at "La Andaluza Sentimental" - it does have some difficult page turns though, and I do not like to drop notes when making videos for YouTube!
