The beauty is bewitched, but reasserts herself with her best weapons: wit and femininity. The strings flirt using counterpoint. The piano counters with rhythm and dynamic surprises. He demonstrates his seductive powers in the piano solos, making passionate advances, while the strings become increasingly excited by the seductive rhythms. Finally she spins off into the climax and capitulates. The violin soars and the piano sounds the triumphant last two chords.
