I LOVE ALLOURA
-
if you watch the Beyonce video " Get me Bodied" the move is called the scissor leg but Alloura pioneered and invented this move before her NOBODY was using this move and around Philadelphia, Jersey and New York it became synonymous with the name ALLOURA. While she was an Ebony, while she was Blahnik and now even as a Jourdan-Zion she still pulls her scissor dip out

ok i no nothing about the balls or the "gay scene" but i am gay and i have never understood how competitive voguing is and it really is a athletic kind of sport it requires real talent and to this alloura woman i dont know her, and never met her but after seeing some of these videos up here of her i have a true respect for her she is BEAUTIFUL! THE BEST I'VE SEEN AND I DONT KNOW WHAT MAKES YOU LEGENDARY IN THE "BALL SCENE' BUT TO ME SHE IS ONE OF THE BEST AND DEFINITELY LEGENDARY R.I.P

@LadyOrnitia exactly

@givingtothekidds That's just sad though. There's always gonna be shade, but no one should go out of their way to create more. And now that the scene is getting more mainstream recognition, I wouldn't want the average person off the street seeing that and getting the wrong impression of the entire community.
-
@LadyOrnitia but yuhr right lol and i hate all the shadiness i thought the ball room is suppose to be fun but yet the mothers or fathers of the houses are always trying to create shade between the kids ya kno
-
@givingtothekidds lol, I don't mind stunts and all that, my favorite performer is Alloura! But even she was able to vogue soft when she had to. In all of her craziness and drama, her vogue was clean. I can see every move she made. I feel that it's starting to get a little sloppy and more about speed. The music is faster and doesn't allow much room for creativity in the short amount of time for a battle. Battles seem like 30 to 40 seconds, tops. *okay now I'm rambling...*
-
@LadyOrnitia omg i live for yuhr reply lol thats lots of shade but its true every1 now gives yuhr stunts and hardness such as BQP lol
-
@givingtothekidds Ha, that's not shade it's truth. There are soft girls like Veronica, Kimora, Vanity, etc. Vogue Femme should be renamed Vogue Butch since it's so hard now. There are BQ's that are softer...then the Femme Queens will once again take influence from them and their vogue will become softer. Reverse Psychology. :-)

@LadyOrnitia lol thats a lot of shade but there are a few out there that are some what soft lol but i do live for boogoola softness
did alloura invent the suicide dip
biotechb 2 years ago
Nah. It is hard to say who did. Some girls say Mystery Dior did, other says Ashley Icon did.
FQPowerRedux 2 years ago 2
ashley icon innovated the suicide dip, tamarra mizrahi revolutionized it and Alloura was the inventor of the scissor dip
MistaYoshi007 2 years ago 3
Can you explain what the scissor dip is?
FQPowerRedux 2 years ago
What is a suicide dip?
And also what is a scissor dip?
Sorry, but I am somewhat clueless to vouging.

I could be mistaken, but I believe the terms are interchangeable. In other words, they are the same thing.
A suicide dip is the standard stunt you see Alloura execute throughout the video. It is a fall to the floor, on your back, using one leg as a lever.

Alloura executes a suicide dip

That is another HOT example of it. Get into how Alloura commits "suicide," drops to her "death," on her back, one leg out, the other placed perpendicular to her body.
