WOW!!! creepy, i had literally the exact same phone for 5 years... annnnd the other day i upgraded to the behold! after the fact i was searching for more reviews and i found this. wow. i completely agree with everything you said. :)

You were saying in one of the comments that Instant Messaging is counted as text message so if i have Unlimited Test Messaging and if i go on instant messaging it wouldnt cost anything? Nice Video By The Way!

i want the samsung behold for my birthday XD but my mom bought me the 2008 sidekick last october and i have a 2 yr contract -_- but still... idc i want it :) besides cant u just take out ur SIMS card and put it in another phone?

No messaging doesn't require a data plan but you should get a messaging plan. If you want unlimited IM tmobile has a $15 plan for unlimited IMs.

I thought that because my friend has verizon and no data package but she gets to use instant messanger for free :/

No she doesn't. Her instant messages are being counted as text messages. she probably has a messaging bundle, where she can send 400 messages, for example, for a flat fee each month. Have her ask her mom or whoever pays the bill. She is paying for each message one way or another. Nothing is free on a cell phone.

Hi! I've been wondering for a while now if using instant messanger from the behold cost money for being online? Like...when I get tmobile, im not getting a data package, so I was wondering if I could still use messanger without being charged. Thanks!

Why would you think you could send messages without being charged? That is why they offer data packages, so if you use the messaging a lot you get better pricing. If you don't have a data package, you will be charged 40 cents per message sent or received. A messaging package only is $5...the phone is not worth it without the data package. Just get a cheapie model.
