I've uploaded the code for this project to github:
https://github.com/thefekete/robotarm

Wrote a python script to give straight line motion of gripper in 3D space with acceleration into and out of movements. This vid shows it moving pretty fast, but you can hear the servos ramp up and down.

  • Python is much more portable, it runs on linux (the primary reason for me) and is much easier to develop with than C.

  • Does programming with python have any advantage over using the RIOS software or C? A few guys and I are founders of the Robotics Engineering club at our university and we intend to program a Lynxmotion arm to play chess using a DGT sensory board. Thanks for your response! Keep up the awesomely impressive work.
