Sean Parnell did the Landmark Education Self Expression and Leadership Program and created a community project called The Chicago Abandon Lot Project that is intended to raise awareness about the nearly 70,000 abandon lots in the city of Chicago. Many of these lots have been vacant for nearly 40 years following the riots of the 1960s and the problem is reflected nationally. Abandon buildings and vacant lots are a blight on local neighborhoods and attract large amounts of illegal activity. This news segment represented one of the objectives of Sean's project to help raise awareness of the problem and point to solutions that can help re-build communities.
