I Can Only Imagine (Worship from Tom Cellie - Cover)

My whole life I have been a musician, a performer, a singer, a monkey on a stage. God delivered me from a life that was spiraling out of control. Naturally I thought that becoming a Christian meant that God had plans for me to become a world renowned Christian artist like Michael W. Smith or Michael Tait. It only made sense right? After all, I was a seasoned front man, singer, lead guitarist with a decade of touring under my belt.

Well guess what...I was WRONG! In fact after a brief stint on a very coveted Christian stage in a famous Kansas City church the Lord closed all doors. I mean ALL of them!
It was NOT easy. I was in the wilderness with no musical outlet struggling to become a responsible adult (after all 11 years on the road sleeping till 12 everyday is some major conditioning to break) So the Lord allowed my music to die and moreover for the first time in my life my desire to do music died to. I was lost.

I learned many things along the way though, probably the biggest thing He taught me was that it's about the journey not the destination. It's really about walking humbly with my Creator. So where does that leave me today; filled with passion for the One who is perfecting me. Excited about waking each day, leaning on HIM and praying for big mighty things but being content and faithful in the little things.

This little thing is something we were created to do. WORSHIP Him..Because He alone is worthy and I am learning to be faithful in the little things.

Well sir, it's good to hear form you. I recently moved and in the shuffle found PIC of you when you were 16 or so with you black les paul. Man what memories. I STILL want a red Ibanez Destroyer II like the one you had back then. Hope YOU R still plucking.

wow......ty Shane. There was a season before I got saved that all I did was travel and gig (11 years) Music never paid the bills tho ;-) These days I need to MAKE time to play but I see the day coming when I can focus more on ministry and worship. Thanks for the positive comment!
