1. The main problem is what causes muslims to become extremists as you said. The invasion, occupation, and the plundering of nations causes muslims to cross the line into extremism.

2. There is a history of government sponsored terrorism that is blamed on an another party. It is called a false flag attacks. 911 is a classic example, which was to justify a never ending war against opposition, not threats.
