  • i just bought this plane and almost done completing the arf. one question, when you built yours, did you use the CA hinges?

i tried, but very difficult, i ended up not able to install these, and i bought Robart hinges, and installed them instead.

  • @porsche1971 G'day porsche1971, I did end up using the supplied CA hinges but those robart ones that you used should outlast the plane! The only things I didn't use out of the kit were the wheels (I upgraded to 4 inch dubro inflatable and the pushrods. I end up using 4-40 rods with dubro ball links on all the surfaces

  • cool i have been thinking about buying that plane and putting an os 160 2stroke on it

  • @jameshoffmandude Thanks mate - a 160 would go awesome on it... Either that or a gasser would be great fun!

  • Nice work Steve! Really nice set up you have there. ~ James

  • @FangarJim

  • Awesome mate

  • @RCNitroHelp101 G'day mate, yeah I do personally think the 110 would be a little underpowered. If you wanted to stay running nitro, I'd go for either a 160 2s or a 180 fs. If a gasser is more your thing....I'd go a DLE55cc (or similar). In fact I do have another one of these ARF's sitting at the back of the hobby room and that's what's going on the front! :) Hope that helps!

  • that is so sweet sounding ..... it sounds like my 72 65 hp outboard engine ...

  • i can see you really like that Saito 170R. Rev um up!!!
