  • the lipid tails are hydroPHOBIC, right?

  • @TheJessicabc Think of it this way. The lipid tail = fats. Fats and oils are in the same category and water and oil don't mix, which means the tail would be hydroPHOBIC. Thanks for watching.

  • you are awesome! I finally understood a lecture from my teacher using your video!

  • thank you

  • thanks ()

  • @garybatesrsc Well SORRY, for not understanding your question. You weren't as clear the first time as you were now the second time. I guess college/university education hasn't taught you any manners. I took the time to give you an answer based on your indecisively explained question. So instead of giving you the answer you need, I will let you seek it elsewhere. The REASON I didn't answer your question properly is because you DIDN'T ASK IT properly. Don't blame me for your lack of vocabulary.

  • @garybatesrsc I don't think it would be useful to gather energy as it doesn't necessarily use any energy to undergo passive transport. Think of spraying a bottle of perfume in a small corner of the room. Then go to the opposite side and eventually, without any effort, you will be able to smell it all over the room. So I would have to disagree (mho). Hope this helped somehow answer your question. Good luck with your studies.

    Mr.P
