If you live on a fault line you can't take earthquakes too strongly, because they happen all the time. If you aren't on a known fault line and have an earthquake, then I don't see why it wouldn't make news.

Oh deary me, an earthquake lol I'm sure if the UK had 6 feet of snow it would be a a terrible thing and they would called a state of emergency and call on the UN for help to shovel. lol It makes me smile inside to think that things that happen every day in other countries are taking so horribly serious by everyone else.
