This jolly great song is about a woman named Miss Bernadette Devlin who fought back physically after her words had no affect on a certain Mr. Maudling, whom called her a liar earlier.
BTW, Bernadette Devlin was a British MP and that Reginald Maudling was partly responsible for the Northern Ireland policies that lead to the Bloody Sunday
