In this Level, you have to fight a Mini-Boss a couple of times. The trick is to use the headbutt a lot, nothing else. In fact, if there is a flaw in Battletoads, it's the fact that the battles can get repetitive since the headbutt is the single most efficient move. The same apply to fighting most Bosses, including Robo Manus at the end of this Level. Robo Manus was in the first Battletoads, but he sure didn't look the same in 8-bit.

  • Giant Kung Fu Mice, Space Breathing Ninjas, Rockets, Cyborgs, and Rams.

    I miss the 90's.

  • @twitchykun I was raised in the 90s and so do I. 80s is fun too, though I'm not nostalgic of that era.

  • How come you're not taking damage when you get hit?

  • @dracius85 The way I understand it, these little square blocks are inaccurate. I think you have more than 6 hit points and 1 block will only go away after taking a certain amount of damage.

  • @TheLionKingJames6 Depends on where you're blocked on level 4. I don't know that I' particularly good at giving advice, but if you're stuck on the first part with the rocks divided into many pieces. some people suggest staying in a low corner. I'm used to being in the center so that I'm not too close to where the rocks are coming from.

  • @DarkEvil87 damn, I cant get past level 4. whats your advice?

  • oh the music is so nice!!

  • Man, the music to this stage is so damn awesome.

  • @SnowLeopard79 It would appear that this was the less-polished version. There's no trash talk before stages, and you don't get to see the (fairly graphic for its day and style) results of the beatdowns you deliver.

And yes, the boss music is also missing.

  • Where is Boss music? Why fight with mini-bosses music won`t speed up?

  • @PQ5 They're supposed to be ram horns or something like that. All the games in the series have this comic book style in which parts of the toads' bodies can morph in an exaggerated way.

  • btw what are those blue horns or something coming from his head? i never figured it out i even took a picture and zoomed and still can't understand =X

  • @DarkEvil87 you mean the NES version? yeah ppl said this game is almost impassable lol and the NES Battletoads & DD are harder x2 than this SNES version.

  • @PQ5 Thank you very much. It was nothing, I played the original Battletoads too. That game was really hard.

  • you are great player! pro i may add :)
