Deck Garden greenhouse project.AVI

My most recent project is to make a little greenhouse for my deck garden. I hope to extend my growing season this way. As a condo owner I don't have much garden space so it's wise to try to use what I've got as efficiently as possible. My goal is to pay off my condo this year. Once I do that I'll start looking for some rural or semi-rural property where I might live eventually. For now though, this deck is all I've got.

Hey Vention! nice video, I love the idea of growing things at home. Just an unrelated question for you, your live in an apartment like me, do you get any problems with noise from neighbours upstairs? I get a lot of footfalls, driving me nuts! I want to move to somewhere with a garden, so I can grow things and my son can play. Not the biggest fan of apartment living!

Thanks I've always enjoyed growing things as well. If it weren't for the economic collapse I probably never would have gotten around to doing it again.

LOL! A few friends of mine were over a couple years back and one of them said "doesn't that bother you?". I was puzzled for a moment, trying to identify what he thought might bother me and then I realized that my neighbor upstairs had walked across the ceiling. I then answered honestly, "No, I guess not". LOL.

I hear water running and some creeks and thumps every so often but I find it oddly comforting. Don't ask me why. Usually I'm not aware of the noise on a conscious level.

Of course that doesn't apply to the weedeaters from hell though. I work nights and just about the time I'm dropping blissfully to sleep, The yard maintenance guys show up with their weedeaters (every tuesday). I think they hold a square dance right by my bedroom window.

I can almost hear the caller singing

♫"Now dig that twine into the Grass♫,

♫ fling those rocks up on the Glass♫" (while playing his fiddle).

I groan curses a them while pulling my pillow over my head.

One thing I can suggest is that if you're shopping for an apartment, ask for a unit that doesn't have kids in the floor above you. My neighbors is a retired guy. He walks across the floor but kids jump up and down violently. I'd hate to have kids living upstairs.

Ya I kept getting diverted but it's nearly finished now. If I don't benefit from it in the early part of the year, I'm sure I'll get some use out of it this winter. I've been mulling over this idea for several months.
