  • living on a seaisland near Pinpoint Ga.I know the plight of the Geechee culture the millionaires are taking over Pinpoint the home of Clarance Thomas.and all of the warterfront land and acces to the rivers we love both white and blacks,we all lose when we lose the river,no shrimp,no ostyer, and no crab. this makes me sad.

  • Yep force them off their land and send them to urban ghettos. After a few generations, they'll lose everything that is unique about them

    you gotta love anglo-saxons

  • @MeAndHubbyToo I am quite sure that that area did not speak French before colonialism.

  • I would love for people to stop pretending that our people are "primarily" from Sierra Leone, simply because of a bukra-produced documentary. It makes no sense. We know that our people were primarily Bantu by the late 1700's throughout the South, and we know that our own language is primarily Kongo-based. The problem is that Bakongo is separated by language (they speak French, primarily), so people don't look there to research because of the language barrier would require that they learn French.

  • You do not hate that our african people may have to move or sale the property this is just another dam act of gentrification, I am so sure that african sister is conscious, and knows that behind the scenes this has jim crow written all over it.

  • Gold coast is Ghana

  • My Father is Yoruba & My Mother is Black American so for me, this History & Culture is very special to me, because to us African Americans are History & Culture is are Greatest Gifts to our Children & must be save.

  • @PrinceNoirAmericain you gotta love them, you are right on point!

  • no can buy you out tax you out and done

  • I love the sea islands of sc, I love the Gullah people. There culture is just like the Ulster Scots in the Mts of KY. Just trying to survive. I hope both cultures can suvive.

  • Understanding the origins of the African slave trade.
