TSUNAMI HITS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, HELICOPTER FOOTAGE! JAPAN EARTHQUAKE (RAW VIDEO)

The tsunami caused by the earthquake in Japan reached to the shores of northern California on Friday
afternoon causing extensive damage and flooding. Four people were rescued and one is missing.
The tsunami stretched from San Fransisco to the Oregon boarder.

NOTE: This post is to present news information as well as to show how an earthquake
in one area can have an effect on another area thousands of miles away. It is understood that
the damage shown in this video is of no comparison to nor is it meant to in any way negate or diminish
the horrific tragedy that has hit Japan. Our prayers and thoughts are with those
citizens of Japan as they face this disaster.

I think this is Santa Cruz or Santa Barbara.. I remember my wife telling me about it but not exactly where it happened. It didn't flood into the San francisco area because of how the bay and the gate is formed. Water flows out from the delta I guess to have push inward. But it did flood below SF at least a 100 miles up to 200 miles south. It's like 9-11 when ti happen.. Just a weird feeling to wake up and see all of it happening.

Yep. Many docks aren't designed to even handle even the most minimal of current as this was. Bay marinas should take some lessons from river marinas who face even stronger currents on a regular basis.
