This is part 01 to a series of videos showing you guys my progress on the Super Metroid remake in 3D, leading up to its eventual release

0:10 This is the movement for Samus. I only want her to move forward and turn left and right. She cant move backward, when the backward key is pressed Samus crouches

1:09 The camera shown in the video isnt definate but it looks good to me =)

NOTE***I have other animations but they dont fit into the movement category

  • @Zoonyboyz its called Blender 3D and i might have room for you :)

  • I once tried to make a 2.5D remake of METROID II, but I had too much on my hands, and I couldn't continue with the project any more than a few 3D models of the Metroids Alpha and Zeta in 3D that I lost (on Blender).

    I gave up.

  • @sentidocomunve to let everyone know the game isnt cancelled i just need to study the engine a bit more to make the game exactly how i want and i have some old files of some N64 style Metroid 2 characters :)

  • hey mind if you can give me the blend file also can fix some files that I got(when ever I play the game engine some parts are invisible)

  • I think Prime series should've been in 3rd person, not 1st person. I think this style fits better in Metroid's universe, but Prime was cool the way it was. They should make another spin-off, now in 3rd person, with Samus living her adventures as a bounty hunter, not only fighting metroids.

  • Make the camera like in MechWarrior 4. Also, aiming/looking and moving/turning should be seperate. For example, you look around and aim with the mouse, and when Samus turns, you could see her legs moving accordingly.
