Prayer of Forgiveness الحسّاية، الحوسويو

The prayer of forgiveness is part of each Maronite mass. The mass starts with the introductory rites followed by the prayer of forgiveness known also as Proemion and Sedro. This prayer changes with the time, ordinary, Happy Announcement, Epiphany, Great Lent and passion week, Resurection, Pentcost , and Glorious Cross Seasons.

PRAYER OF FORGIVENESS (HOOSOYO)
Proemion
Cel: To the praise and glory of the Most Holy Trinity.
Cel: May we offer glory, praise, and honor to the exalted One, who humbled himself and exalted the humble Virgin; to God, who became flesh and saved our human race; to the Most High, who lowered himself and raised up the lowly. To Christ, the good One, are due glory and honor, on this day and all the days of our lives, now and forever.
Cong: Amen.

Cel: With spiritual hymns, may we praise and glorify the blessed ever-virgin Mary, Mother of God, and ask her to petition the fruit of her womb, Jesus Christ, for us, saying: O Lord, through the prayers of your Mother, keep away form the earth and all its people the scourge of wrath; eliminate dangers and disturbances; remover war, captivity, hunger, and plague from us. Have compassion on us, we are weak; comfort us, we sick; assist us, we are in need; deliver us we are oppressed; grant rest to the faithful departed and enable us to reach a happy death. We glorify and thank you, O Christ, your Father, and your Holy Spirit, now and for ever.

لنرفعن التسبيح والمجد والإكرام إلى العظيم الذي تصاغر وعظم البتول الصغيرة، إلى الإله الذي تأنس وخلص بني البشر إلى الرفيع الذي تواضع ورفع المتواضعين، الصالح الذي له المجد والاكرام في هذا اليوم وكل ايام حياتنا الان والى الابد.
