Happy aquarium

This is my little 5 gallon planted tank. It has Cherry Barbs, Harlequin Rasboras, a Guppy, a Corydoras Axelrodi, Neons, Otocinclus and Trumpet Snails. Weekly partial water changes, a good variety of food, lots of plants and the fish are thriving.

My pair of Rasboras go into courtship mode and lay eggs often. My Cherry Barbs are showing some spawning behavior as well.

I've had the Rasboras and Cherry Barbs for 3 years now.

The snails eat any dead leaves and keep the gravel really aerated.

Btw I had planned to move my C axelrodi to a larger tank and give him friends, but he passed away the day before the move. I'd missed a water change, which in a small tank can be bad.

Acid, Corys like to be in groups. I just added 5 C Habrosus to one of my 10g tanks. If you stick with very small Corys you may be able to have a group. Pandas might be ok ? Or Pygmy Corys. Guppies, you gotta be careful with or you have too many too fast.

Most small fish prefer to be in a school of at least 5-6 fish.
