2. Capacity Building
Provide training for Zoo workers and animal carers.
Install a management support team to assist and Train Congolese personnel

3. Long term support to conservation

Provide facilities for the rescue and rehabilitation of the Victims of the Bushmeat and illegal pet trade.

  • OMG...help these poor beasts

  • @aliveinsd Not a zoo, a kind of park where the animals could be free in large surroundings, set these animals out of cages. Could WSPA or WWF support this?

  • I'm not trying to hate on whoever is singing but who ever it is, man she is killing Linkin Parks masterpiece.

  • These animals live better than most of the local people. They don't see anything wrong here. True, I too see misery for the animals, but I must place that thought into right context and relative to general conditions of the Congo.

Send $ to build a better zoo.

  • Paradoxically enough, quite the opposite might be true: Invest your money in this zoo, so they can improve the conditions of the animals and attract tourists to Congo and open a source of money for this poor country. Where else would you want these creatures shown in captivity than in their natural (i.e. African) habitat? And don't be fooled: It is in the zoo's economic interest to show the animals in a natural surrounding. Visitors feel with the beasts and just don't like conditions like this.

  • Did this zoo ever change?????

  • very sad!! poor animals.

  • Terrible... :-\ These animals should be rescued and brought out of that hell-hole nation to New York's Bronx Zoo :-\

  • Sad, cruel!

  • The zoo should be closed down-1 easy step. Invest your money in researchers working with local people in bonobo habitats.
