@djdreamproductions I feel the same way about no one fucking with him like I do:) I know we're both not gonna believe each other tho x) I have a Dilla poster above my SP 404 and honest to God truth, I wouldnt have started this early if it weren't for Dilla:) I know I can talk hours and hours about Dilla but I live in LA so there is no possible way to kick it lol, just givin yuu props brah:)

@djdreamproductions how can u say that, hip hop was still evolving during that time, sure now it sounds corny, technology was a major factor too

@djdreamproductions That doesn't surprise me that Pete Rock would speak truth like that. Dilla was definitely the God of hip-hop production. He fused funk, soul and an almost House-like vibe into the sound that really defined a level and feel for hip-hop that epitomized the genre for almost a generation. Sometimes I wonder how much better he would've been if he had really read music but there is an art to sampling the way he and Madlib do it, that can't be duplicated with written music.

@cavaleer me too man. Dilla is God with it. Even Pete Rock said that Dilla soared past him with Petes own style. crazy. I can talk about Dilla all day. You know the crazy thing, I know NO ONE who fucks with him like I do. I live in Syracuse NY, and absolutely no one understands the importance of real production.

as much as i love 9th and premo, Dilla and Madlib are in a category totally by themselves. i dont think 9th and premo go "out of the box" nearly as much as Dilla and Madlib. JAYLIB forever
