GO - Gus & Olivia: New Friendships; Renewed Forgiveness
Original Airdate: March 19th 2008 -GL
Reva and Jeffrey race down the corridor at Cedars in wheelchairs until they bump into her doctor. She gets good news— the results of her checkup have come back and she's still in the clear. When she goes over to Towers, alone, she finds Olivia crying at the bar. They go into the washroom to talk about it. Reluctantly, Olivia blurts out that she's dying. Reva assumes she's joking but it quickly becomes clear that she's not. Olivia lists her symptoms and Reva reminds her that she has a world of support around her, no matter how alone she feels. Reva starts to cry and Olivia hands her a tissue, knowing that she understands how much she is already missing everything in her world. They walk back into the dining room and Reva calls for some food. Jeffrey walks in and she tells him that someone needs him more than she does. She sends him over to Olivia's table and he awkwardly sits down. She blankly tells him, "I'm dying. Will you pass the bread?" They begin discussing it and she says that it's brought her closer to Ava than she ever thought she would be. He takes her hand and tells her how much he will miss her. "I'm glad we're okay now," she says. When she leaves, she starts to punch at the walls in the elevator and smash her purse.
Gus finds a frustrated Olivia trying to prepare for a business meeting. He tries calming her and brushing her hair. Later, he calls Mallet and asks him for some help. When he makes his way to Company, he runs into Alan, who warns him that Phillip has set him up. "I'm in trouble son and I need you to represent me," he says. Gus tells his father to count him out. He walks across town and watches Ava playing with Emma before calling his father and agreeing to help him in exchange for a favor. He goes up to Olivia's room and she walks in on him as he packs her bags. He tells her that Alan has found her a special doctor in Europe who will be able to save her. It sounds pretty risky to her. She kisses him. "I love you for trying," she says, but she doesn't want to leave her children, or him, alone. He tells her that he's taken time off to be with her. She gets into bed and he holds her hand, watching her thoughtfully as he sips Pepto Bismol.
