@angurisloud I'll go even further and say that pretentious is being confused with cocky or pompous which is not what Drew was being. She was spoofing pompous behavior. This is after all the David Letterman show, Drew has been a comedic actress in some respects, and she was most likely just entertaining the audience and the host. That's it.

I can see how someone can find her behavior pretentious even though I know that's not what it is. She's doing that whole cocky shoulder shrugging thing and she appears to be looking down her nose while describing in educated terms her new film. The body language is what makes the uploader come to the conclusion that she is being pretentious and an asshole. Also, throw in the fact that she seems to be saying "What" in a harsh way toward Dave and then at the audience.

I think the best way to describe the way she's behaving in the interview is "with attitude and spunk". When she says, "What," to David, well, that's the closest she ever comes to being a pretentious asshole and even then she's not really behaving as either pretentious or as an asshole, so I'm confused by the accusing title of the video. Dave must have been making fun of her off camera, he does to all of his guests and understandably it must have gotten on her nerves.
