I don't think she's being a snob at all. The girl knows her stuff, especially being from the family of John Barrymore going back decades.

she's not being a snob at all. she's explaining how the filming was edited to portray the real life of the women that this production is based upon. She is simply stating a fact and if you actually could be bothered to show the full interview, you would see how Drew was very much involved in her role and the of the horrible life this poor woman had.
She even stated it took her 1.5 years to get the voice right.
Furthermore, you would also know she disreputes poverty and does charity work.
