I am hooked on this composer. Can't get enough. Do you have any op.13 preludes?
Very lyrical composer without the sensuality of a Rachmaninov or the sometimes overpowering gloomy mood of Scriabin. Bortkiewicz sounds more like a sort of Ukrainien Grieg by the beauty of his inspiration and his descriptive talent.
Excellent idea to put this little known composer in the spotlight.

I must disagree strongly; although one gets hints of other composers certainly, in his output (Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Scriabin and even Brahms), he had his own unique and wonderful voice.
