  • @sitnlo12 it is such a pleasure to meet a family member from long ago I am Dougs son I was fortunate enough to have been given this video of many full shows just days before he passed away lots of people don't understand that a lot of country and western hits came from close friends of this band I will check as well I think I have a Christmas show that you may be in. we also played with Conway Twitty's kids at the studio when a lot of this was recorded will look to see if I have it

  • I just took a chance typing Doug's name. He was a family freind while a teenager in Lincoln NE. He later worked with Wayne Kemp for a few years too.

  • mr hall you are right not many people know who wayne Kemp is and yes I know you and your family. i have been over to your house many times years ago. I also remember when you come to Oklahoma City and played drums those that have had the pleasure to hear him play will concede there's no one better I was at a club in Oklahoma City where his band played Buddy Emmons was also there and set in for one set I watched a new king be crowned

  • @gatespj Yes, I believe they did!

  • Been quite a spell since I'd heard this #. Really good to hear it again. Thanks for posting it.

  • @HIYIELD1313 I just read the post from you. So you must be Doug Jr. And yes I certainly remember you and the entire family. Fred

  • Hey, I was wondering if these videos came from the Jude & Jody Show?

  • Wow, was amazed to find this video.. Doug taught my dad how to play the steel back in the 70's while they lived in OKC. They were good friends from then on. It's real pleasure to see this .. I remember going to the wagonwheel in OKC to them play.

  • hey, i would really like to know a bit more background on wilton and the rest of the band. they're pretty darn good. where was this filmed? what year.? did their careers go anywhere? just curious. thanks.

  • I'm Wilton's daughter, so it's neat to see him at my age now. lol

  • Thanks for posting this video! So neat to see them back then!
