No it's not. You all call it a slackline because you were told it was a slackline, and never had the sense to question the fact it was being pulled tight. A couple of Yosemite climbers pulled a piece of dynamic tape tight,and for reasons known only to them they called it a slackline. The rest just followed like sheep

Its called a slack line due to the dynamic characteristics of the line, where as tight rope walking uses static line.

how about you quit posting on every slackline video asking why it's called a slackline.

How much tention do you have to put into this tape before you can no longer call it a slack lin???? "SLACK" by definition means "WITHOUT TENSION"
