I like this new turbine. Finally one that is affordable and puts out good power - not to mention being well engineered and having a 2-year warrenty.

Are you done playing with toy turbines based on ceiling fans, treadmill motors, and car alternators - all of which struggle to even squeeze out a few amps unless there is a wind storm? Time to get serious.

I'm not associated with Windy Nation - just a fan is all.

  • Where are your components made?

  • @MlLKMAN I don't make these, but I happen to know the blades, hub, and mount are made in California. Beautiful work. The PMA is made in an ISO9001 certified generator factory in China. Each PMA is built and tested to a proprietary WindyNation design specification, and then is tested again once in California. China is far ahead of the USA in small wind generator production, as they make 10s of thousands each year for their own needs. Quality is not a problem like is was years ago.

  • Great vid, Whats the max output you've seen in amps?

  • @tanyano9 39.7 amps into a 24V battery bank that measured 29.925V while being charged by the 750 turbine. This is 1188 watts. Measured at 34 MPH. Thanks.

  • Are you affiliated with Windy Nation? Why don't i see the effect of furling in the power curve? Is that calculated or measured?

  • @USVAWT The unit was furling at the top of the curve but they didn't collect data beyond that point. A good furling system will not drop off the power bu will keep it flat even as the windspeed continues higher. The data is measured ... see their own vids on that.

I am not associated with WN at all but they do consult with me time to time. Engineer to Engineer type of thing. Thanks for the post.

  • nice video. wish i could make mines look like this.

  • @Fearlessthinker

Impressive! Too bad, I don't ever get a 29mph wind.
