Bristol Palin appeared on Good Morning America and the Today Show, then sat on a panel discussion for the Candie's Foundation as part of a series of events for National Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy. But what actually works to prevent teen pregnancy? Abstinence-only programs have been shown to fail at delaying sex or preventing pregnancy. A more comprehensive approach that teaches proper use of birth control methods, while keeping the abstinence message, is more realistic.

  • " Communism is like prohibition. It's a great idea, but it won't work."

    ~ Will Rogers ~

It's about time we started believing in things that work for all, everywhere, for the common good, instead of things that don't. The only source for that kind of wisdom is God, who is always and everywhere willing to help us learn from Him.

  • what an idiotic "news" report! way to sacrifice journalistic integrity at the expense of "balance"! "Abstinence-only sex-education" is an oxymoron!

  • Notice Laurie Rubiner from Planned Parenthood. If the kids were practising abstinence, then they wouldn't be buying abortions and Rubiner would be out of a job.
