The fire came in shortly after 8pm on Oct 30, 2011, the day after a snowstorm hit New England (which set records for the earliest snowfall).
After an aggressive interior attack for over an hour and a half, firefighters had to withdraw and go to exterior operations. It took about 3 hours after the initial call before the fire was brought under control.
