Bridge Day 2009

Bridge Day 2009 the only day out of the entire year which B.A.S.E jumpers are legally allowed to jump from the New River Gorge Bridge. It's the second tallest bridge in the United States and the longest steel arch bridge in the western hemisphere. Bridge Day attracts many spectators, over the course of the day around 200,000 spectators stop by and join in on the excitement as jumpers throw them selves off the 876 feet tall bridge. Around 200-400 Base jumpers turnout for this event and can jump as many times as they can get in from 9:00AM till 3:00PM. The New River Gorge Bridge is located in Fayetteville, West Virginia over the New River.

growing up my family had a traditon that ever year we will go down to W.V. for bridge day. and also to see faily.. we did that for every year until 9/11. before i die, i want to bungee jump off that bridge
