http://www.steeletraining.com - How to set the Nikon SB-900 in Master mode for multi-flash TTL setups with remote slave flashes. Also how to make the flash act as a Commander without acting as a light source.

  • the master opcion only can use on the camara?

  • @salomeisa - You could get the master flash off the camera with a shoe cord, which seems to the camera as if the flash is still "on" the camera. This can be helpful when don't have line-of-sight from the master to the slaves from your camera position.

  • can i use sb900 as a master and use a Yong Nuo YN-460 II as the second flash ?

  • @hakimz92 - No, the third party flashes like the Yongnuo don't speak the same TTL language as the brand name flashes from Nikon or Canon, so they can't be combined into those systems. However, you could use cheap radio triggers to fire both flashes in manual mode.
