ahahaha this is so ridiculously blatant, they even show who paid for the ad at the end and surprise surprise, it's the carriers who would be (arguably) adversely affected by net neutrality!
too bad tons of idiots will buy into this faux-populism
it sucks that NN is made a political issue because whether youre are dem/rep, lib/conserv, you should NEVER support the abolistion of NN... thats like getting rid of traffic laws because some pople pay more money for there car5s there fore deserve to drive them how they want.
ffs the ppl support the abolition of NN are the same who once took advantage of it starting out.
Last but not least as a vital point for those who still think this means "Freedom" for the average person: There is nothing stopping an organization on one side or the other of the political spectrum, like the Swift Boat assholes, from paying boat loads of campaign money to throttle opposition sites while giving priority access to their own. If you remove Net Neutrality, you literally give parties control over the media in an insidious way.
Not exactly. Youtube will be throttled unless you pay an increased fee at your ISP for "top tier" access, which will give you better connections to Youtube. Sides like Hulu and Netflix though, they'd be history - they're competitors to the cable companies.
As Maphysto says, they know PRECISELY what's going on, they just know how to spin it so their base will clamor on the side of the corporations, against their own interest.
The current GOP tactic for everything is to completely lie, say what they want to is the reverse of what they want to do, and watch how many fools buy it. It worked for medicare and I fear it'll work on the internet.
I love all the comments where people are angry about this, how could the companies lie like this, etc. Wake up. This is America. Big business looks out for big business, and they'll crush you if you stand in their way. This is how it is, and this is how its always been. Conservative Republicans endorse and own this system, Libertarians are ignorant about it or don't care, and Democrats will only meekly "regulate" a problem that requires a full-blown fucking revolution to truly deal with.

How the hell can the GOP live in Bizarro land and get everyone to join them in it? This is disgusting.
