A God who needs to fine-tune is a God who is subordinate to a higher power.

A->B does entail ¬B->¬A, though, and vice versa.

The argument goes: If there are no restrictions, then no fine tuning is necessary. Therefore, if there is fine tuning, there must be restrictions. The faulty reasoning here is your own.

Do you dispute that if there are no restrictions, then no fine tuning is needed? God doesn't need the Strong Force to be exactly this and that, he can just make it so that isn't needed in the first place...

Unless you dispute omnipotence, that is.

To me - this argument doesn't sound any different than why can't the creator make a square circle.

No, he didn't have to create finite, mortal beings i.e. humans, but given that is what was created - then yes - there are restrictions as to the type of conditions humans can survive in, based on how we were designed.

It's like saying why can't the creator make a human who NEEDS oxygen to survive but can also survive without it. If it could survive without it - then it wouldn't NEED it.

Not sure if this has been brought up, but...can't internal restrictions also cause the need for fine-tuning, as in, tuning something so it fulfills one's desires? If I preferred the GGDGBD guitar tuning over the EADGBE tuning, for example, I would need to tune my guitar to GGDGBD to best enjoy playing - not because of any external restriction, but because of my own nature.

Even right now what is happening here is so surreal, we are minds operating within an electronic framework of computer circuit boards which formulate a virtual universe (the Internet) within our other universe, and it's all because of physics and chemicals.

i disagree with your logic here. I, along with most others, watch videos such as this to gain perspective. The whole point of this video is to combat ignorance. I have become much less ignorant the more i have surfed youtube. This is why i dislike the comments that people send saying don't come on these videos if you're ignorant. It is the ignorant who require these videos to gain perspective and conquer their ignorance. Ignorance is not a bad thing, it is a fact.

Ooh, nice car! And the argument provided completely destroys religion, but I don't think people who believe in a God care much for ligic or reason.
