Loading Sevtec Surveyor onto the trailer I built for it. The trailer design is based on a trailer used by some friends of mine to transport their hovercrafts. I have used 13 inch wheels so the bed height is higher than their trailers. The trailer is 2 .30 metres wide which is the max legal width for a trailer being towed by a car in the UK. The sideboards extend out approx 7 inches each side. The guide pins support the sideboards. Guide pines are approx 3 inches narrower than the hovercrafts inflated skirt. The craft squeezes between the pins to keep craft central on the trailer. It seems to work very well.

  • The angle is too steep because of the 13" wheels, which leaves a gap for the air to escape from out the skirt sides when half on the trailer. I could have made tha tailboard longer, but then it would be more air resistance when towing. It winches on pretty easy so not really any hassle.

  • Really great design

  • I based the design on a friends hovercraft trailer, so I can't take credit for the design, but it seems to work well.

  • Three thoughts:

    1. Electric Winch

    2. Lower the bed when the craft is mostly onto it instead of pulling it uphill all the way.

    3. YOU PULL THAT CRAFT AND TRAILER WITH THAT CAR??!?!?!?

It would fit in the craft.

  • Why not just drive it on? Come on its made to drive on land and on trailers

  • very nice unit how much will it lift

  • Now youve had it a while do you drive onto it?

My trailer had an alloy flat bed but my hovercraft was probably 3 or so feet shorter than yours so it was quite easy to drive straight on..

  • Great bird sound effects. the machine looks sharp

  • very kool....nice trailer....keep posting vids...5 stars!!!
