Like all history some things are highlighted and others ignored. Some moments that increase pride and some that lower it. I would have written my comment in French but my grammar/conjugation is terrible. I do hope that in another 200 years the history of Quebec will still be a history shared with Canada as a whole. I know some disagree but I'm allowed to hope.
There is no difference between the PQ's efforts to cleanse Quebec of the Anglo population and the ethnic cleansing that occured in the former Yugoslavia. The former case was less violent, but the goals were/are similar.
Highways are of federal juridiction, everything that is is bilingual by law. Products in Canada also need to be labelled in both languages. However, it still is completely untrue to claim everything in Canada is, far from it.
My opinion is even this much shouldnt be. Bilingualism coast to coast is completely inneffective and costs untold billions.
Not all signs, menus and posters are bilingual in Canada, I refuse to believe that. I just typed "Calgary road signs" on Google image and only saw english-only signs (try it).
I'm certainly not saying thats a bad thing, Calgary is english and has very few people. It shouldn't have to accomodate such a tiny community.
I want this video on my c616v phone.

@Vineon there are certainly exceptions to the rule, but on a federal and provincial level ALL must be bilingual with one notable exception...
