1969 Liberace Show Tico Tico

Here is Liberace blazing through the samba Tico Tico on his Tv Series. The 3 DVD set will be released on Sept. 18th titled Liberace Ultimate Entertainer.

This acutally became a famous piece because of ETHEL SMITH, playing it on the Hammond Organ! She did one hell of a job on it..... Lee does also!

Yes I actually have her recording on a 'Brunswick' 78RPM record. On the other side is 'Lero-Lero' .

"Tico Tico no Fubá" is not exactly a samba. It´s a "Chorinho" composed by Brazilian composer Zequinha de Abreu. It became world popular by a vocal arrangement for Carmen Miranda to sing in a very fast tempo. Liberace was a real genius!
