  • @ISISbandLive No but you insinuated that my thinking was directly alligned with the religious right. Unfortunately there is no proof and if there was it is not my job to prove anything, but I will give you this.In the world pshycology there is a theory known as manifesting meaning that what you constantly focus on ,you manifest into your life. Its not the sound of hip hop that I take issue with ( alot of it is sampled from actual musicians) but the over all message contained.

  • @flyfish1995 The phrase "Can't see the forrest for the trees" comes to mind. I never said you were a religious conservative, I said what you were saying is tantamount to what they were saying. Anyway, correlation doesn't mean causation. If you show me some proof that listening to a certain sound will put you at risk of these "social woes", then I'll agree with you.

  • @ISISbandLive I have a couple Marilyn Manson albums and actually met him at Ozzfest one year.Nice guy.And no Im not a religious conservative,Marilyn Manson didnt cause Columbine and I never said listening to hip hop makes you a gang banger. I only pointed out that the rise of hip hop directly correlates with the demise of the music industry and the rise of many social woes.

  • @flyfish1995 Hip-hop/Rap was born out of certain peoples frustration with their social status and surroundings. Not the other way around. Just saw your most recent comment. You're 42? Surely you realise that you cannot generalise people like that? You don't know every Hip-Hop artist. Familiar with KRS-One, Zach De La Rocha, Immortal Technique, Death Grips, Grandmaster Melle Mel? All smart people who have inspired others.

  • @flyfish1995 You say this as if there was no bad music before the mid-80's. As if horrible things didn't happen before then either. Sounds being arranged in a certain order don't have that big of an impact. All those things you listed are due to varying social and economical climates. What you're saying is tantamount to the bravado of American Conservatives after the Columbine shootings. Marilyn Manson doesn't make you shoot people. Hip-Hop does not make you a gang-banger.

  • @ISISbandLive Now I must tackle your claims of laziness.I have a massive music collection covering dozens of genres including, rock, gospel, blues, jazz, international, big band, and country.I have been playing guitar for many years and I have put many many hours in studying music, musical theory, chord progression and composition.I have made it a life long passion. Now,can you say the same of any hip hop artist? I doubt it very much.

  • @ISISbandLive Because hip hop has become such a phnomenom it has dumbed down the listener. It has had such a huge impact on the music industry that the industry(in the intrest of cashing in to make a buck)now gives a music contract to anybody who can spekk their own name and can make 2 words rhyme, thus marginalizing the talents of true MUSICIANS.

  • @ISISbandLive With hip hop everything changed to a criminal thug attitude rather than a fun musical environment. In the same time frame we also saw a huge rise in street gangs, crime, drug use, teenage pregnancy, higher drop out rates and lower teast scores. Hip hop does not challenge the mind nor is it intelectually stimulating.

  • @ISISbandLive 1995 was a very significant year in my life. With the rise of hip hop we saw a massive change in youths attitude towards life.It seamed as if everything turned toward a criminal

  • @flyfish1995 Why the "1995" in your username? "world was a much better place before hip hop", that is an incredibly stupid statement. A genre of music has never became a detriment to earth. Please explain what you mean by that. Could you also explain how it has apparenty killed the music industry? As opposed to just saying it has.
