I was right. You should not capitalise the "s" at the start of "sapiens" in "Homo sapiens". That is the convention laid down by Linnaeus. See also: Gorilla gorilla, Rattus rattus, Rattus norvegicus. The genus name (Homo, Gorilla, Rattus) is capitalised, the species name (sapiens, erectus, norvegicus) is not. Someone naming themselves after a great taxonomist like Aristotle should be aware of this. Also not applying virtue ethics very well.

How ignorant. "Homo" is Latin for "Man" (or human, cf German "Mensch") and "Sapiens" is a nominative singular adjective. So together it means literally "Man Wise" which we turn round in translation to "Wise Man".
