How To Record Video Games with a DVD Recorder

Wow, this video just won't die! It's been up for about two and a half years now (I think). I'm totally aware that this video is suckage in the extreme but it gets the point across I think. :) Just look at this video, narrator with barely broken voice, low-def camera, awful angles, eugh I hate myself for making such a bad video on how to make "good videos"! Over 17000 views now, which is cool!

Sick and tired of seeing crappily recorded footage from fellow YouTubers? You deserve to see what they're doing in good quality.

What do you do with the black lines on the bottom? Do you crop it or somethhing?

@kentiiblade The black lines at the bottom were a graphics glitch because I accidentally recorded it in 60Hz, when the DVD Recorder can only handle 50Hz while recording. So, in my case, yes, I'd have to edit it out, but for you (a wiser and more observant individual) you won't have to do that if you change the settings before recording.

a good solution to record gameplay is by using AVerMedia Game Capture HD. It records 1080i from gamesoles without and lag while playing the game. The best thing is that a PC is not needed.

I have a dvd player, that only records VHS. Record button, inputs, outputs, cords, everything. But only records VHS. Didn't figure that out until after i set up everything. Ahh, I love how nothing works for me. XD Doesn't life suck?
