Kings Island 2010

My first time back to Kings Island since 2005. Wow, the place has changed. Cedar Fair has taken over, both Racer trains are front facing, Geauga Lake's X-Flight has been relocated, renamed Firehawk, and repainted....oh and Son of Beast isn't operating (thank God!). After riding Intimidator at Carowinds a week prior, I felt I needed to hop on its older sibling, Diamondback which opened in 2009. Wow, what an amazing ride! The only ride I feel that should be in this video, but is unfortunately omitted, is the Beast. Sadly, its placement within the park is 99% hidden. Sorry Beast fans.

AWESOME, KI is my second home park, CP is my first, so I thought this video was awesome. I've been waiting for you to make new vids, so this rocks. @coastermusic93 Thanks for the comments man! I was in the process of doing a Carowinds vid, but I can't find some of my footage, so I made this one in the meantime. Did you check out the Dorney, Kings Dominion, or Busch Gardens Williamsburg vids? I think that I'm finished for the 2010 season after I complete the Carowinds one though...no more footage to use :-)

I feel your pain regarding filming The Beast -- not much but the station and first lift hill, and not much more when you're shooting from the Eiffel Tower. Great video! Diamondback is fun to ride AND film.

@CoasterBob62 I had some old footage of Beast from a walk-back I had done about 5 years ago. I actually forgot I had it...its filmed in 4:3, but maybe I'll go back and include it in a "directors cut" version of this vid. ha

They changed the back-facing train because of a problem with the mechanism, apparently... -shrug-

@mccormackxl200 Yeah, those vids were great. 5 years ago when I was just getting into coasters, I saw your CP 2006 vid and your TTD vid and they helped me build up the courage to ride TTD and MF (Which I did in 08.) After riding MF for my second time this year, Im officially not afraid anymore. Thanks to your vids, Im a lot more of a coaster enthusiast than I was 5 years ago.
