  • The tone of those parts is great, even over YT.

And I'll say it again: Taylor needs to get you on a clinic tour ASAP.

  • @mmaier2112 - Thx Mike, email Taylor and get them on it, but PRS is now building acoustics and they probably will beat Taylor to it.

  • Nice! Awesome lesson. Can't wait for that next album. On a more nerd oriented note is that a AKG C414 in the foreground?

  • @SilencingADream - yes, XLII

  • cant find any backing track for any rotw help!

  • @iamgreyhound - a massive amount of backing tracks will be found on the new riff of the week site when it launches.

  • Perfect examples of pitch axis in songs are Joe satriani's first 2 albums, Not of this earth and Surfing with the Alien, Full of pitch axis

  • @wompeter1 he said Drop D

  • How is the guitar tuned? Dropped D or DADGAD?

  • Luckily for me, years ago, when i learned all the modes around the same tone(over C, all the mode in order of variation) before of the harmonic order(ionian, dorian, frigian......) Is cool when you learn something right by yourself and later on, is Certified it by master like Dave :)
