The Antioch Chamber of Commerce is proud to be the host of Antioch's first public art program. Antioch's DOGS ON THE CHAIN fulfills several purposes . . . it features local artists, boosts tourism, promotes local businesses and at the final event will benefit local organizations that are in need. The final auction of the dogs which will be held this Fall will provide much needed dollars for our Open Arms Food Pantry, Save-A-Pet, and the ACHS Scholarship Fund.
Various contests and events for all ages are planned as part of DOGS ON THE CHAIN, beginning with our "WHO LET THE DOGS OUT" BUSINESS EXPO on February 18th, where one lucky attendee will win a painted dog. The fun continues through numerous events and promotions into the Spring, Summer and Fall of 2010. Hopefully our dogs will sit and stay as they enjoy their adopted homes. Keep an eye open for our dogs as they come out and play during the day. Most dogs can be seen relaxing from the comfort of their business display windows, but some sunny days the dogs may come out and welcome you in front of their sponsoring shop or business!
